Those of you who decide to visit Amorgos and the Small Cyclades should have no problem getting there as the daily routes are frequent. Boats to these islands depart from both Piraeus and Rafina. The journey from Piraeus lasts around 7-9 hours by conventional ferry, depending on the in-between stops and 4-5 hours with high speed ferry. During the winter months, there are 3-4 routes per week, whereas during the summer there are a lot more available. Amorgos and the Small Cyclades are also connected with flights via Naxos, Paros or Mykonos, as the islands do not have their own airport, and then via local routes by boat to the actual islands. The islands are connected with the other Cycladic Islands with frequent routes whereas routes to the Dodecanese Islands are available only once a week, not including routes to Astypalaia which take place twice a week. The boat “SKOPELITIS EXPRESS” which is based at the port of Katapola connects Amorgos with the Small Cyclades on a daily basis with frequent routes.
