Feast of Stavros (Holy Cross)
The feast of Stavros takes places in front of the small chapel of Stavros, which is located on Krikelos, the highest mountain of Amorgos. On the eve, all fellow villagers are gathered there. They usually cook goat stew with rice and after the evensong, a big feast is set up with plenty of food and wine for everyone in this Amorgos event. On the day of the Holy Cross, Mass is held in the morning in Langada.
